I am a young Indian woman who believes in pleasing people through their taste buds. I am not a professional cook by the Food & Beverage or Catering industry standards.  I am a Traditional cook located in Goa who is striving to keep and pass on the ancient cooking traditions, tips and treats of my grandmother’s recipes. People Come to Goa for many reasons, one of the prime reasons is to do cooking in Goa.

I was born in India’s Mega city, Bombay now called Mumbai to Mangalorean parents who migrated from their native village of Karkol in Mangalore.  My native place  is very close to the now world famous temple town of Udupi from where thousands of enterprising South Indian food specialists have thrived in opening their Udupi Vegetarian Restaurants all over India and the World too.

Coming from a Catholic family where every religious or social event is used as an opportunity to feast, I was thus exposed to different Indian cuisines right from Mangalorean by ancestry, to Maharashtrian by being born in Mumbai, to Goan by living in Goa and North Indian cuisines by my travels within India.

Born and convent educated in Mumbai (Bombay) I am married to a Goan and living in Goa for the last 15 years and more. After living among Marathi Maharashtrian families in Mumbai (Bombay), this has given me exposure to many cooking styles of India.  Having traveled widely all over India I have not missed any opportunity in tasting, understanding and learning new Indian cuisines.
